In 2003, Jackson-Shaw teamed with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas, the Community Food Bank of Clark County and America’s Second Harvest to open the Jackson-Shaw Kid’s Café, providing meals to over 100 children at the B.C. McCabe center each day.  We have continued our commitment to young people in Las Vegas through regular donations and support of additional activities in the greater Las Vegas area.  The company’s Renaissance Las Vegas hotel held its 4th annual Holiday Tree auction raising over $11,000 for capital improvements at the clubs.

Our support of this organization has extended to Dallas, Jacksonville, FL, and the Washington D.C. area.  In addition to annual donations, Jackson-Shaw has served as the proud sponsor of local Boys & Girls Clubs “Youth of the Year” programs by underwriting the programs and providing scholarship funds to the annual winners.

The Real Estate Council Foundation

Founded in 1990, The Real Estate Council is comprised of 1,600 commercial real estate professionals representing more than 500 companies in the Dallas area and 10,000 employees. Through The Real Estate Council Foundation, grants and professional assistance are provided to local organizations focused on community revitalization and affordable housing.  The Foundation supports numerous projects and organizations in the Dallas community, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, the Big Thought’s “Thriving Minds After School” program, Uplift Education and the Builders of Hope Community Development Corporation.  The Foundation is also spearheading efforts to develop a deck park over Woodall Rogers Freeway and has been instrumental in creating the Urban Land Bank to provide pro bono legal and title services.

In addition to taking an active leadership role in The Real Estate Council, Jackson-Shaw has donated $10,000 to the Foundation’s Community Partners program and provided an additional $8,500 for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas.
