| (Las Vegas, NV- December 8, 2009) — Tis’ the season to give back to the community. On Tuesday, December 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel will host its 4th Annual Holiday Reception and Christmas Tree Silent Auction. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the diverse programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas. The 4th annual Holiday reception and Christmas tree auction will take place in the Renaissance Ballroom, and offers complimentary admission, as well as ENVY The Steakhouse hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. In 2008, the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel raised approximately $30,000. In hopes of keeping the trend active, the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel is encouraging the community to join them for its festive event that will help to support efforts including career development, arts, sports fitness and health and life skills. The programs and services provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness belonging and influence. Beginning mid November, six elaborately decorated Christmas trees will be on display in the hotel lobby. Local establishments will be given the opportunity to contribute to the six unique tree themes, including the Toy tree, A Night on The Town tree, the Elegance By Design tree, the Technology tree, A Tree To ENVY tree and the Pamper Her tree. All donors and sponsors will be recognized for their charitable sponsorships. “This event is one that the Renaissance looks forward to every year by being able to bring Las Vegas businesses and locals together for a worthy cause,” said Tom Xavier, General Manager of the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel. “We have worked with Boys & Girls Clubs many times before and each time it is an honor to know that we are contributing to the community and club in a positive way that helps benefit the program.” Throughout the event, guests will be able to bid silently on the trees that will include all of the donated gifts beneath it. Towards the end of the auction, the highest bidder of each tree will be entered into a raffle to win extravagant prizes.
